Jim Sorrentino joined the Center for Community Engagement in 2010 as team leader for the nonprofit and higher education collaboration project.
Sorrentino is a management consultant who works with nonprofit organizations and small businesses. He served for 29 years as president and CEO of East House, a nonprofit rehabilitation agency and also held administrative and clinical positions at the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency and Rochester Psychiatric Center.
Sorrentino is an active community volunteer and currently works with Lifespan, OSHER at RIT and the Rochester Area Community Foundation. He has served on a number of nonprofit boards of directors and is a past president of the Council of Agency Executives (COAE) and the Association for Quality and Participation (AQP).
He holds degrees in business administration, social and political philosophy, and a Masters of Social Work degree from SUNY at Buffalo.
